Römmen
Römmen, not far from Åre in Jämtland is the folk museum in Mörsil. It’s a lovely place in harmony and light. Just go here for a cup of coffee and a homebaked cinnamon
I had the opportunity to restore the main building during 2010 ann 2012. The old house from 1700 got new slamfärg Falu rödfärg Ljus and all the wood work was scraped and got new linseed oil paint. The 48 windows was restored one after another. The bad plastic putty and paint was removed. New old glasses was changed. New linseed oil putty and a couple of linseed oil paint saved the windows for some decades.

The royal sloop
Vasaorden
Vasaorden is a Swedish royal sloop built n 1923 as a sals sloop. The current sloop is an exact replica of the original Vasaorden which was designed in 1774 by shipbuilder Fredrik Henrik after Chapman for Gustav III of Sweden.
I had the opportunity to help the boat builders in Saltsjöbaden to locate and pick the right colors that was used in the 1700 century.
fun fact is that the National Museum (see the photo) is build by Staffan´s great great great grandfather Johan af Kleen in the 1800 century. A building among others he was ennobled for.

Solliden
This beautiful private hide away Solliden at Arholma is the Family Magnussons 1600 century house in the northern part of Stockholm archipelago.
In good hand with the owner Klas I had the opportunity to restore the windows during a summer.
Off course we only used linseed oil putty, boiled linseed oil and linseed oil paint. A wonderful work with a lot of fun, good food and some breaks for fishing…

Coloring
Stocksund
This beautiful house in Stocksund have off course linseed oil paint and I often wonder if the lovely Mini belongs to the house or the opposite…
I had the opportunity to help Byggnadsverk i Sverige AB to pick the colors for another beautiful house who wanted the exact same coloring.

Prästgården
For a couple of years ago I had the opportunity to restore the windows at Prästgården in Duved, Jämtland.
Off course we only used linseed oil putty, boiled linseed oil and linseed oil paint.

Högåsen
This is Högåsen in Mattmar. A wonderful courtyard in Jämtland.
I had the opportunity to help the family with a lot of buildings and painting things during some years.

Surbrunnsgatan
In the middle of Stockholm close to Odenplan is this wonderful apartment house.
I had the opportunity to restore the windows at the penthouse. About 30 windows have been restored one after another. The bad plastic putty and paint was removed. Broken glasses was changed and rotten wood work and glass lists have been changed to new ones. The plastic paint and the silicon have been removed. Linseed oil putty and a couple of linseed oil paint layers will save the windows for some decades.

Ski in Ski out
Duved
This beautiful logg timber house in Duved lays 10 meter from the lift in Duved. Perfect location for the real ski entusiasts. But also, the family who owns it will do as little job as possible on the facade in the future. So the choice of paint is carefully considered.
I had the opportunity to paint this house. The black paint is Roslagsmahogny Kimröksvart and the red parts is one layer of linseed oil paint Järnoxidröd.
Handöls kapell
The former Handöl Lapp chapel was inaugurated in 1806 and, as the old name suggests, was built with the Sami in mind. However, the chapel was also intended for the villages of Handöl and Bunnerviken, as well as for the seasonal workers who worked the soapstone during the winters.
The villagers built the walls and roof of the chapel, while the mountain peasants and the Sami were responsible for the interior decoration. The chapel was most recently renovated for its 200th anniversary, and a small, natural cemetery surrounds the chapel.
I had the opportunity to restore the windows here and to bring up the right color. A lovely place to work.

The palace
Drottningholm

Drottningholm Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is our best-preserved royal palace built in the 17th century in Sweden and is representative of all European royal architecture from that time.
The palace was built according to French models by architect Nicodemus Tessin the Elder on behalf of Queen Hedvig Eleonora. Several royals have since left their mark on the palace.
The royal family moved into Drottningholm Palace in 1981. Today, the palace is the permanent residence of the King and Queen. The rooms in the southern part of the palace are reserved for the King and Queen. However, the palace and park are mostly open to visitors all year round.
Okey, I haven’t build the palace ;-). But never the less, I had the opportunity to help the gardeners to locate and pick the right colors ”Djurgårdsgrön” that was used since the beginning.
